Overview
Gorani is a macOS menu bar utility for converting images between formats (HEIC, JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF). All image processing is performed entirely on your device, and your images and files are never transmitted to external servers.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or account.
- We do not collect or transmit the content, names, or paths of the images and files you convert.
- We do not use advertising networks or the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- We do not share any collected data with third parties.
Anonymous Usage Analytics
To understand how Gorani is used and to improve it, we collect anonymized usage signals (such as app launch, drop zone creation, paywall presentation, and Plus purchase events) through TelemetryDeck (telemetrydeck.com). These signals contain no personal identifiers, no file content or names, and no IP addresses, and they are not linked to the advertising identifier (IDFA). An anonymous hash is used only to distinguish devices, and the data is not used for tracking by any external service.
Local Processing Only
All image conversion operations are performed locally on your Mac. Your files never leave your device. The App requires access to files you explicitly provide via drag-and-drop; this access is used solely to perform the requested conversion.
Data Retention
Because no data is collected, there is nothing to retain or delete.
Children's Privacy
The App does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
